elasticCo is a textile design studio handling all types of creative consultation, conceptualization, and textile installations for architects firms and private clients based in Brooklyn, New York.
In between commissions, elasticCo create limited editions of unique products and accessories proposing a new outlook on daily life and a humorous view of our society.

elasticCo is the brainchild of French designer Elodie Blanchard, a graduate of the fashion school Duperré and the Beaux Arts de Paris. While in Paris, she received critical acclaim for her clothes designed under her name which was presented at the F.I.A.M.H, sold in La Redoute and, Parisian stores.
She went to Los Angeles on a grant to pursue the performance project Noisy Clothes working with musicians. Her few months stay never ended. She found love and forgot all the rest, following him to New York. Just like that, wondering what to do next, she began tying rubber bands together, creating large armors and varied products.
As a freelancer, she manages product design development for designers and innovative styling and custom décor for events. As time passed by, she realized she really liked working in collaboration with architects and getting involved in large fabric installations thereby linking all her interests in textile, problem solving and creativity and started elasticCo in 2005.
Her work has been published in The New York Times, Met Home, Interior Design, DWELL and ELLE among others.
Elodie also teaches at Parsons and lives with her husband Jonathan and their son Gaspard.
